Care Provider
The Care Provider will provide person centered care for the residents. Care Providers will supports our residents by providing personal care, housekeeping, laundry, and culinary services. The Care Provider will utilize the principles of choice, respect for individuality, dignity, privacy and independence when caring for our residents. Care Providers will work as a member of the team and is expected to be aware of changes in the residents’ health or mental status.
Care Providers will:
*Provide for the daily physical care of residents including assisting residents in showering, dressing, grooming, brushing teeth, and other personal hygiene needs.
• Provide medication administration as directed by the Clinical Nurse Supervisor.
• Provide an environment that enhances the psychological well being of residents.
• Assist and serve meals to residents.
• Clean up the dining room and set up for the next meal.
• Review the service plan for each resident’s care and ensure completion.
• Interact with family members and others on care issues
Kitchen Assistant
The Kitchen Assistant supports the daily operations of the dietary department in an assisted living facility. Responsibilities include meal preparation assistance, food service, cleaning duties, and ensuring residents receive high-quality meals in a safe and sanitary environment.
The Kitchen Assistant will:
*Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks to residents according to menu and dietary requirements.
*Help portion and plate meals, ensuring correct presentation and temperature.
*Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, equipment, and utensils.
*Wash dishes, pots, pans, and cooking tools using commercial kitchen equipment.
*Receive, store, and organize food and kitchen supplies.
*Follow food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations.
*Assist with setting up dining areas and transporting food to residents, if needed.
*Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and care team regarding dietary needs or issues.
*Report any food shortages, spoilage, or equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
*Support the dietary team in ensuring a welcoming and respectful dining experience for residents.
